    New minibus

On Friday 8th April the club made a purchase of a 17 seater minibus. The chairman's comments were " It's an exciting purchase and one that is so needed by community clubs such as hours. In many cases children are unable to travel to competitions on their own and some parents may not be able to drive. With the minibus in place it is hoped that we can take all children to development events, and competitive tournaments. And, importantly on social trips to build team spirit and confidence. The club intends to conduct training sessions on various beaches around England, whales and mainland Europe, as well as doing outdoor activities in the lake district and further a field...A truly exiting period for those young people at the club."

Lotus sports have started work on developing the next set of seniors to represent the club. The senior team pleasantly outgrew their time at lotus, as many had been with the club since 11 and now are reaching their 30's, but in that time completed 17 seasons, playing in the East London & Essex Youth league in 2001 to the Ilford & District Premier Div in 2007 and Champions of the 2nd Div Inner London Football League in 2012, as well as Newham Futsal 2nd Div Champions. As part of the program a separate academy session will be conducted whereby players based on selection will be collected and dropped of by the club minibus service. The session will vary from week to week with strength conditioning (hill running) to friendlies for technical and tactical development.

    Jack Petchey Award Winners

The club has been running the Jack Petchey’s achievement award scheme since 2008 and is honored to be part of such a noble organisation. The children and young people are recognised for their achievements through an award presentation, which has helped boost their confidence and motivation. It is without a doubt that many of the social activities that young people participate in would not have been possible without the moral and financial support of Jack Petchey Foundation. Lotus intends to make Jack Petchey Foundation proud of having us as one of the clubs they support, by upholding a high standard of ethical and moral discipline that nurtures equality and fairness.
